Our kindergarten runs a bilingual program based on the Early Partial Immertion method.
Each group is looked after by two teachers: a Polish-speaking teacher, who is also the group's tutor, responsible for the implementation of the didactic program, and an English-speaking teacher. Thanks to this model, children have all-day contact with the English language, learning it in everyday situations.
TEACHING IS BASED ON THE PRINCIPLE OF ONE PERSON, ONE LANGUAGE - ONE PERSON COMMUNICATES WITH CHILDREN IN ONE LANGUAGE ONLY.
Children who have constant contact with the language - similarly to children in bilingual families - learn two separate language codes from the beginning of their lives, thanks to which they do not mix languages. Research on bilingualism shows that after 2-3 years of education using the immersion method, children achieve fluency and confidence in using a second language.
In learning English, we also use the Bilingual Future method. It is a substantive program supported by Yellow House English, promoting the introduction of a child into the world of two languages simultaneously.
